Shemroon Kitchen began with two chefs, one shared passion, and a journey that started in Tehran.
Massiha and Arsalan first met in 2016 while working together in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant. What began as a shared love of food soon became a life together. They married in 2019 and, in 2021, moved to London to begin a new chapter.
Over the years, they have worked across Italian, Persian and Mediterranean restaurants, hotels and professional kitchens in both Iran and the UK. Every experience has shaped the way they cook today — with passion, attention to detail and a genuine love for bringing people together through food.
Why Shemroon Kitchen?
After years of learning, creating and working in different kitchens, Massiha and Arsalan wanted to build something of their own.
Shemroon Kitchen was born from a simple idea: to share the flavours of Persian food they grew up with, while adding their own experience, creativity and personality.
For them, Shemroon is more than a food business. It is the first step towards a much bigger dream — creating something they can be proud of and, one day, opening their own Persian restaurant in London.
Meet the Chefs
Massiha brings more than 12 years of professional kitchen experience in Iran and the UK, alongside culinary qualifications and specialist bread-making training from Naan Sahar in Tehran.
Her passion lies especially in baking, bread and breakfast — combining creativity, precision and a love for creating something memorable from the very first meal of the day.
Arsalan has more than 14 years of professional kitchen experience and holds a Grand Diploma in Culinary Arts from Tehran.
His background includes working in leading restaurants in Tehran as well as supervisory and management roles. He has a particular passion for butchery, ingredients and understanding how flavours work together — an approach that continues to influence his cooking today.

Our dream is to create a place in London where people can experience Persian food through our own style while enjoying the warmth and hospitality that are such an important part of Iranian culture.
For now, we are building that dream one dish, one customer and one experience at a time.
